Education:  

Graduated from Churchill High School, Eugene, OR.
Graduated from University of Oregon, BBA in Finance/Real Estate

Experience:

While a Senior in college (1974), I obtained my real estate license and have worked as a real estate principal and/or agent ever since. I am also a licensed loan originator.

In the early years, I worked on tax deferred exchanges and investment transactions. A particularly "fun" transaction was a 5 way exchange... involving several homes and an apartment house.   Ah, the good old days! We may see a lot more of that given the financing squeeze we're going through.  Fine by me!

I have always enjoyed the "creative side" of real estate.  I've done lease-options; Land Trust deals with multiple beneficiaries; short sales; REO buy/fix/flips; bought and sold discounted private paper; owned a 3 unit floating apartment houseboat  (that floated down the river... interesting story..); lots of exchanges of rental properties-with boot involved; lot splits; commercial financing; oh, and I have sold all manner of homes for a long, long time.. but my story is getting boring..

When I saw Connect Realty for the first time.. I thought "This is a terrific platform for building a business".  The plan provides top commission splits; free software tools that are "killer"; creative and honest people to work with; and a tremendous oppportunity to create residual income.  In my mind, it's the perfect blend of low overhead, high tech, minimal "corporate" interference and exceptional growth potential with no state boundaries.

I pursued the company and now I'm excited to let fellow brokers know about this terrific alternative to yesteryear's bricks/mortar model.  As the State of Oregon Broker for Connect Realty, I am excited about the opportunity to help talented Oregon brokers take advantage of this new "virtual" network.
